Edith Cowan appoint head of law

Professor Anne Wallace has been appointed as the head of school of law and justice at Edith Cowan University. Wallace joins ECU from the University of Canberra where she held the position of associate dean (education) in the Faculty of Business, Government and Law. She is former principal solicitor for the Tasmanian office of the Australian Government Solicitor. An active researcher in judicial administration, Wallace has strong connections with courts and justice agencies in Australia as a result of her experience as deputy director of the Australasian Institute of Judicial Administration. She has recently been involved in projects studying the use of video-conferencing in courts, and investigating court safety and security. “I am delighted to be taking on this role in a school named for such a distinguished Australian advocate for social justice,” Wallace said.
