Devlin moves to OUA

Open Universities Australia (OUA) has announced the appointment of Professor Marcia Devlin as its executive director of academic products and services. Devlin is currently the chair of higher education research at Deakin University, and is the director of Deakin’s higher education research group. Devlin’s qualifications include a PhD from the University of Melbourne in improving university teaching and learning and a masters by research from Macquarie University in university student learning. This appointment is one of many recent additions at OUA as it continues its strong growth in staff and student numbers. Other appointments include: Melissa Allardice, director, marketing and communications; Vincent Creighton, director, vocational education and training; David Christie, director of strategy; Dr Cathy Stone, director, student experience unit; and Amgad Louka, director, centre of online learning excellence. OUA has enrolled more than 200,000 students since 1993, and provides access to more than 1400 units and 170 qualifications taught by more than 20 leading Australian universities and tertiary education providers.
