Mackay researcher to chair domestic violence advisory group

CQUniversity researcher Heather Nancarrow has a new role as chair of a newly-established Domestic and Family Violence Strategy Implementation Advisory Group. Nancarrow is director of the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research (CDFVR), based at Mackay Campus. In her new role she will lead a team of six people from across the Queensland to assist with the current review of state’s Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 1989, and to advise on the implementation of the Queensland government’s four-year strategic plan to reduce domestic and family violence.
